Swatches: ELF Studio Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow

The ELF Studio Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows (someone at ELF has their alliterations down) are ELF’s newest products in their line of affordable, innovative products. Retailing at $3, these come in 7 shades with a similar “soft and fluffy” texture that’s more similar to the MAC Electric Cool eyeshadows and (less so) the Chanel Illusion d’Ombres than the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill or Loreal Infalliable eyeshadows. I currently own one of the Chanel Illusion d’Ombres so once I get around to testing these out, I will definitely do a detailed review and comparison to those.

Since I have no time for a review, here are pictures and swatches of everything.

Notes: Confetti, Toast, and Celebration are extremely sparkly. All of these are buildable unlike Chanel’s (Gala is the most pigmented by far). These are a lot softer and mousse like in texture than Chanel’s which is more of a cream. I didn’t have trouble blending these evenly on my arm but they are very shimmery and have a thin consistency. The shimmers are somewhat difficult to remove. Festivity does come out similar to Soiree when once lightly. For true color, 2 layers is needed.

I just read about these the other day and thought they were kinda meh, but after seeing your swatches, I REALLY want to try them! Especially for that price! I haven’t tried any elf products yet either, so this would be a good opportunity!

I have bought some of elf’s eyeshadows before, and they can either be a hit or a miss. These look pretty good though! :)

I really like your blog, so I’ve nominated you for a Liebster Award, for blogs with less than 200 followers.

I’ve tagged you in my most recent post, so look forward to hearing your response to the questions! :)
